Bathroom Extractor Fan

Hi All,

I’d like to get some advice on adding a bathroom extractor to HA. My ideal scenario would be where the fan still comes on with the light but also come on when my humidity sensor ( SONOFF SNZB-02P) records a high level. It would also be great if the fan could be triggered to run at low speed intermittently by HA to help with air circulation in the house.

The wiring is less than a year old and easily accessible in the loft.

So, can anyone help me on these points:

  • What zigbee device is capable of triggering two fan modes?
  • What type of fan extractor would work with the setup?
  • Are the any wiring diagrams or tutorials that cover this set up?

Thanks for any help!

James

Did something similar using zwave switches. I used a relay to safeguard that both fan wires never get activated together. You need a double zigbee switch or two single ones.

Here’s my schema:

The unit has also a physical switch It triggers S (switch 1- low speed) or Q( high speed), responing in power at Q when switch1 is active, and/or Q_ when switch 2 (Q) is active. By activating the relais from Q_, the relais will disconnect the output from Q and therby ensure that only one connevction is possible at the fan engine.
