is anyone seeing an increase in the battery drain when running the iCloud device tracker? my phone and my wife are draining a lot and the only thing I can think of is the HA implementation. Is there anyway to see polling amounts in log etc?
lol as UX testing always tells me users never read… found the big warning here about battery drain.
anyone got a better solution for device tracking? the iOS app is not working to well.
looks like the interval for home is 30 but wife’s phone atm is away and it’s 10. can you set it it for something like if device is in known zone then poll 30 otherwise 10?
I noticed the same issue when running iCloud. I cold nere sort that out so I stoped using iCloud. I am not using the new iOs app tracking that works good and do not drain the battery.

It should default to 30 min in a known zone. I have this working with my home and work zones. You can also set the update interval, check the docs for further info.

Because yesterday i needed to take out icloud configuration from my HA, about problem of bettery. There is other way to use it and that bettery drain will be less?

Apple Watch drains in about 6 hours, so I’ve removed them both from the config. Drain on iPhone is also too high, needs a minimum interval configuration setting.
