This seems like a medical sensor and what looks like an rj-11 connector. Would this work if i hooked it up to an aqara sensor (remove the reed switch) ? Or should i look for a different pressure sensor.
Appreciate thoughts.

It will compress and false trigger eventually. Probably why they call it a “one year pad”.
This wont: FSR - the best bed occupancy sensor
Good info. Could i use this FSR with a aqara sensor still or do i need to hook up an ESP ? I noticed you have multiple FSR’s on the bed, and you have them mounted not in length but in width (i guess to maximise range). That does add to the cost of course, but wouldn’t one single FSR in the middle detect weight or shift in weight ?
Thanks Tom.
It outputs a changing resistance, not a contact closure. So you would need some sort of signal conditioning to convert this to a contact closure.
Not sure where you saw that. I only have one per bed.
The sensor needs to be under your weight. So if you have a double bed or larger you may need two sensors to monitor both sides of the bed.
Ah yes i do only see one, my bad.
Thanks, i will have a play around with one of these.
