Benefits of using Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus vs HUB/Matter?

A ong time ago I purchased a Sonoff Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus when I started with Aquara.

I never utilized it because I have the Hub 2 and home assistant detected all my Aquara contact/water/motion sensors

Is there any benefit to changing my setup and utilize the dongle? (Any extra features? Faster?). My Aquara motion sensor is horrible, but I guess that’s normal.

Is there any other use for this dongle?

If you only use aqara devices, and they work with your hub, there is no advantage. But if you want to use devices from other manufacturers in your Zigbee mesh, that is when you use an independent coordinator.
