Bermuda Bluetooth Tracking in House

Hi, I’ve been working on setting up Bermuda BLE Trilateralion today. I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro and I have an Apollo MTR, Apollo MSR, and Everything Presence Lite sensor. I have a M5Stack Atom Echo coming from Amazon.

I was able to set my phone up today already to be tracked room to room and it works fine using the Home Assistant app BLE Transmitter option on Android.

My wife has an iPhone.

I’ve done some reading and of course Apple makes it a little more difficult getting things done.

I don’t have a Mac available right now. Though I do at work, but it is a work laptop programmed with work keychain info.

Can I approach this in a different way to get her phone to be tracked?

This is one option if you have an M5STACK Atom Lite device: GUIDE - Getting the IRK for your phone - Community Guides - Home Assistant Community

Here’s another for ESP32 device with BLE How to get the IRK (Identity Resolving Keys) for iOS, Android etc · agittins/bermuda Wiki

I tried this approach and followed it step by step, but Private BLE is not taking the IRK.

Keeps basically saying its not valid. Any ideas on this approach. I found the Bluetooth address in the registry, but the hex value it is not taking.

Update: I’m pretty sure I got it to work and got the right device.

I went from room to room with the iPhone and it changed.

Now I have a small house and only two devices right now to act as trackers. So the iPhone is showing it is still in the bedroom when I’m in the living room with it.

I noticed my android phone with ultra low transmitting power shows unknown in the living room when I’m in the living room. This seems more accurate because I do not have a Bluetooth tracker in the living room yet.

How do I adjust transmitting strength on IOS devices?

I don’t know about the device, but you can adjust Bermuda per device. I would recommend doing that. The procedure is in the docs.
