Best Bluetooth Lower Energy (BLE) device tracker for pet

Hi Hassio Community,

I hope I am in the good section for help in finding materials

Since yesterday, I have a cat in my home. To ensure my cat is well in my house and receive an alert if is going outdoor, I want to add a Bluetooth Lower Energy tracker to her collar.

I prefer to buy a device full compatible with native Bluetooth Low Energy integration but I don’t know which tracker is not encrypted and I understood that some of them do not have a fixed mac address. If I can receive tracker battery status, it’s a good thing too.

Can anyone help me to choose the best tracker for my cat please ?

Did you ever figure this out? I basically want to do the same thing but with kids. I happen to have Galaxy Smart tags but I’m not sure they can be used.

Hi @LiquidPhire,

I have found my perfect BLE tag for my usage. I use a Nutale Focus : New Nutale Focus Smart tracker, item finders with enhanced 3rd Gen Tec

It works perfectly for my usage, just warning, if the nutale is paired with your phone and nutale apps is current running, Hassio doesn’t found the device.

I don’t know if it’s Ok with galaxy tag, sorry.

hey i jus got the nut 3, does this just show up in the the BLW low energy integration? how I have other BLE that have been found, just not seeing this so wondering how yours was added or discovered? did you do anything special?
