Best choice for an EVSE in the USA?

I apologize is this has been discussed before, but I can’t find a recent discussion and there always seems to be things changing with EVSE’s

I have Enphase Solar which I can add into HA, and I also have an IoTaWatt for power monitoring which I’m sure I could get data into HA from

I also have a Generac Generator with Genmon, which again I’m sure I could get into HA

I’m looking for an EVSE where I can control as much as possible, and do something to only charge on excess solar

Is anyone doing this? Wondering what the best solution is. I’d like it to work 100% locally, with no internet connection require

Is the OpenEVSE my best bet?

I ended up with an Emporia EVSE because I got it for free. You can add it to HA, but not locally over the network
