It’s been over a year since this question was asked and I assume there are newer locks on the market now. Can you recommend the best lock I can get to use with HA? I currently have an August v1 and I love it but the integration capabilities are very limited without the additional August Connect.
I have z-wave and google home.
The older threads were very positive on Schlage. I that’s still the case which model specifically?
BTW, this is my first post to the community. I have been running HA for 2 months on a and I’m a bit obsessed.
hello. At work we use the Yale Assure connected to a Samsung SmartThings hub and it works flawlessly.
I work at www.iotechautomacao.com.br, and we are right now on a task to make our products compatible with home assistant, so I’ve been testing a lot. Integration is great with this lock/hub setup.
When someone opens the door with the passcode, we get push notifications and if the door remains opened for too long our led lights turn red as a warning due to integration with our light controller.
I would like to have a similar lock with a biometric option to increase security, but for now we are working on integrating our RFID solution with HA and while carrying an tag won’t do for all customers, it will be a small price to pay for our staff now.
I am also on the quest to found a lot of devices for my new setup, door lock is one of them.
Something that can integrate with HA, ideally not z-wave, but if have too it means i need a zwave stick too.
