Best, easiest and of course lowest cost smart thermostat for Home Assistant

Just an FYI for anyone watching this thread. After a few ESPHome-brew thermostats, I purchased some T6 Pro Z-Wave thermostats from ebay and they work flawlessly with Home Assistant and they look awesome. Super easy and I love the reliability of Z-Wave

Well, I’ve been wanting to ask this question for some time, so I guess I’ll hi-jack this thread…

I am also wanting to get rid of the dumb thermostats in my house and replace them with HA-ready units.

However, my house has 3 zones. (1st and 2nd floor and an office) We have one heating/AC unit. So, do I need to buy 3 new thermostats at $175-ish each? Or is there a better/cheaper way?

Mike.

Wow sorry to reply so late I guess I just don’t see my notifications but I went with Honeywell T6 Pro Z-Wave thermostats their Z wave and they work amazingly well with home assistant. I plan to split my system and zone it. I was thinking of using then Ecojay SmartZone. Ecojay SmartZone 3.0 - ecojay.com - SmartZone - HVAC Zoning Controls

Same! T6, plug and play. It is gloriously simple.
