Best Light Switches for Local Control

So Ive been playing with zwave for a long time… started off with smartthings. Then moved to OpenHAB with a zwave stick. Then found homeassistant with the zwave stick but still had issues. Then I got a ISY controller to handle the zwave devices but its still not great and a little slow as far as responsiveness goes. This was especially true when I watch movies in my theater room and have the lights linked to the status of the plex server and other things that I watch on the roku and other devices. So I decided to try a TPLINK HS220 dimmer and wow does it work well. So well that I bought a HS100 to connect to my fireplace and use it to turn on and off a 5v usb relay switch. Both devices are fast, reliable and are controlled over wifi. I have my entire house covered with Unifi access points and have a separate ssid vlan just for IoT devices. I also have blocked all internet traffic for these switches by mac and ip address. I just want to see if anyone else has tried using these switches and how many do you have. I know they have some other switches and have thought about getting a few more. For areas that I have 3 and 4 way switches I think I can just supply power to the switch and let home assistant be the controller for turning the main switch thats connected directly to the light on and off. What does everyone think?

This will work fine if you don’t mine losing the 2nd and 3rd switch. If you want them to continue working, then you need either smart switches in all of them with smart switches that are capable of 3 and 4 way setups. Or you need a smart switch that can handle “standard switches” in the other spots. The best local control product I know of (if you don’t need a dimmer) that will handle 3,4,5,6 way switches with standard switches in them is the Shelly (either Shelly 1, 1PM, 2, or 2.5… all will work).
