so…what’s the best way to go regarding light switches ? zegbee, z wave or wifi (tasmota) ?i’m using wifi for switches now. Thanks. Refael
i use Insteon switches in my home … they are highly reliable (dual mode with a power-line and RF communications network) … Insteon support a wide range of light switches, outlets, garage door, outdoor modules, indoor modules, multi-key scene controllers). i have over >150 lights switches etc in my house both indoor and outdoor in two different structures. it just works. i use an UDI ISY994i to control and configure the Insteon devices. the iSY994i interfaces quite well to HA. i do have Zwave devices for door locks (kwikset, front door and 2 outdoor gates) these are controlled via a Vera Edge gateway.
first, thank you for your answer. Insteon looks very nice but
i’m from israel so and we use
it’s almost the same as USA standart, only to the side.
my question to you is, if you have decide witch protocol to use
now. what would it be?
wifi, zegbee or z wave?
i want to start my new house and dont know zegbbe or zwave,
only wifi (tasmota) witch work good but it seat on the wifi band.
so i raely dont know witch to decide.

whats the protocol used by Insteon ? is it wifi Mesh Network?
Thanks
Refael
