Best way to install HomeAssistant with Zigbee dongle and screen?

Hello everyone,

I’m currently running HAOS on a RPI5 using zigbee to communicate with devices and I’m fully satisfied with it.
I want to add a dashboard in my house to be able to switch on/off lights and others devices.

I did a kiosk browser installation on another Pi, it work as expected, but what if I loose Wi-Fi ? as all my devices use zigbee, it make sense for me that the dashboard should be “autonomous”, a device to control them all, even without Wifi, only zigbee and electricity.

Hence the idea of RPI5 with touchscreen (to show a dashboard) attached to it and Zigbee usb dongle to control devices.

What will then be the best option for HAOS installation (I’m using HACS and addons) ?

thank you very much for your enlightment

Does Supervised installation will be enough to achieve this ?
thanks

Are you sure it’s worth the trouble? Most people plan for outages by making sure that conventional manual switches still work.

yes, it’s mostly zbminil2 for lights so the traditional switches are still there
