I am just a beginner in the Automation World…
I am wondering in having rolling shutter well integrated in my Home Assistant.
It is quite sure the Motor in the shutter I am Planning to buy will be Somfy’s one…
So, how is the best way to enable a smooth Ha integration to open/close full/half opened/closed rolling shutters ?
I would like to use Ha docker installation.

For Somfy IO you need a Somfy controller.
For Somfy RTS you can use the RFXCOM RFX433XL USB, WIFI or LAN. With this transceiver you can control up to 40 Somfy RTS but also receive many 433.92MHz sensors For temperature humidity wind speed and more. The Somfy RTS motor can be half opened using the preset with the MY/Stop command.
A very good alternative is the Brel and Dooya bi-directional motor which can also be controlled by the RFX433. This motor has also a command for a percentage to open.
If you are doing RTS motors this integration is straightforward and will give you grouping, positioning, and favorites. It supports up to 32 motors per device and 16 groups.
