Best Z Wave motion sensors and stick with HA Green

Hey y’all,

I’m considering using HA Green to control Shelly 1 WiFi relays and I want to incorporate motion sensor based controlling as well. I’m going to install this in a commercial setting [office spaces] - so there’s plenty of WiFi around. There aren’t many WiFi motion sensors to choose from that I can use out of the box with HA [the only decent one being Shelly Motion 1 and that isn’t available where I’m at], so I thought I’d use Zigbee motion sensors with SkyConnect. Then I found out that Zigbee interferes with WiFi and that messes things. So now my preference just swayed to Z Wave.

Are there any good Z Wave motion sensors around that I can use with HA Green? Also, what Z wave stick would you recommend I use it with? I’m looking for the best motion sensor + stick combo that’s proven to work.

My golden combo: Zwave.me UZB and Fibaro Eye

It has proven to be reliable here for 4 years already.

Z-wave is also regional dependent. Meaning, recommendations suitable in the US would not be applicable in Europe.

So where are you located?

That makes sense.

I’m at India. The Z wave frequency here is 865.2 MHz. Most HA green supported Z wave sticks don’t do 865.2, I think.

Luckily I was able to find this WiFi based mmwave motion sensor : mmWave Human Detection Sensor Kit - Seeed Studio

I’ll probably use that. Would be nice to have some Z wave options though.
