Hi everyone,
I’m currently using Home Assistant OS and have integrated my HomematicIP “HmIP-eTRV-B-2” heating thermostats via RaspberryMatic. I’ve grouped them into rooms as needed, and now I’m trying to manage temperatures and schedules using the Better Thermostat integration.
However, I’ve noticed a constant deviation between the values I set in Better Thermostat and the actual values shown by the thermostats in both RaspberryMatic and the devices themselves.
I’ve attached an image showing this: on the left side, you’ll see two cards using Better Thermostat entities, while the right side shows the direct values from RaspberryMatic.
For example, when I set 21°C in Better Thermostat, the system continues to heat, even though the temperature sensor linked to Better Thermostat indicates that it has already reached 22°C because the actual target temperature on the devices show 24°C. Also the heating symbol on Better Thermostat switches to off, even tho, the other ones still show “Heizbetrieb” (meaning heating operation, I don’t know the label displayed on the english version)
Is this behavior intentional for Better Thermostat, or could there be an error causing this mismatch? I’d appreciate any advice or insight you can provide!
EDIT: I just found out, that this behaviour only shows when using the AI Time Based calibration mode.
