ZHA or Z2M?
Not quite sure what that means …sorry but I am a bit green when it comes to stuff that HA doesn’t just recognize. I started reading on SNMP but cannot find anything on BASEIO codes
Are you using Home Assistant’s zigbee integration, ZHA, or are you using the Zigbee2Mqtt add-on?
I’m not sure what SNMP has to do with a zigbee device?
well this is a Billion Smart Energy gateway and I read that I could use SNMP to get the readings from the gateway, I am now assuming that there is a Zigbee device on my meter but all of this was installed 11 years ago when I had my solar installed and it use to use a website called powertracker which has now been shutdown…and i have no clue if i can get any of this to work in HA
Would I then need a Zigbee Dongle in my HA which rune in Docker on a Synology NAS
I do have a SonOff ZB Bridge …no idea if that can do anything
Oh ok. So that isn’t a zigbee router connected to Home Assistant. Sorry. Ignore my question.
Is your energy meter (not the gateway) listed here?
EDIT: it is not.
For communicating to your gateway using SNMP you will need the OIDs. Using SNMPWalk can help with finding these.
Its not listed in the database and thanks for the tip on the SNMPWalk I will see how I go
