Binary_sensor display values different ... since 0.84/084.2

since upgrading to 0.84/08.2, i’ve noticed that binary sensors from my alarm and server ping show different value displays from 0.83 (using lovelace, hassio in venv on intel nuc with ubuntu 18.x)

for example, doors and windows show “off” or “on” then some change to “Closed” or “Open” over time … the same is true for ping binary_sensors … showing “on” … then changing to “Connected”

while using 0.83 and prior versions, the alarm and server status ALWAYS showed Closed/Open or Connected

any ideas what has changed or how i can correct the behavior ?

Are you using lovelace? I had this with my lovelace UI setup and after a few restarts of HA an re-loading of the browsers, it fixed itself

Having the same problem…have restarted HA a few times for other reasons, but I still show door sensor as being on/off when prior version’s they showed either open/closed.

yes, using lovelace … i see the same thing on the iOS app … i try to clear the browser
