binary_sensor.home_assistant_operating_system_running

Does this sensor work for everyone else? It is created by the Supervisor integration. It has never shown a state of anything other than unavailable. No errors in the logs.

Much googling comes up with bupkis. No one else seems to ever even mention this sensor other than a mention this thread and one other fella who mentioned it.

I just enabled it. The state is unavailable.

Thanks for confirming. I’m struggling to understand what this sensor could possibly be for. If HASS OS isn’t running - there isn’t any sensors. And if you’re running unsupervised, there isn’t a HASS OS!

Disable and forget I guess.

That’s a bug, please raise on GitHub, it should not exist
