I have 5 RPi4’s. Each has Room Assistant installed on them. They all use a TPLink BLE dongle. 3 of these work just quite reliably. But the other two will randomly switch from hci0 to hci1, or vice versa. I have to reboot to get the dongle back on hci0, the default for RA. Has anyone else seen this problem? It seems to me it happens when the BT doesn’t service does not receive any bluetooth broadcasts for some time and it attempts to reset the adapter. On occasion, when this occurs, the deviceid may change.
Not sure what to do here. Any tips most appreciated.
Hi lazloman
I am getting the same problem, How did you solve it?
I get this warning randomly
Logger: bluetooth_auto_recovery.recover

Adapter with mac address XX has moved to hci1
There are no BT controllers present in the system!
hciNone [XX] seems not to exist (anymore), check BT interface mac address in your settings; Available adapters: {}
Then I lose BT until I reboot or disconnecting and reconnecting the USB BT dongle puts it back running
