Blink cameras + sync module 2

i’m searching for cameras that can work offline too, so few questions about blink i couldn’t answer…

  • will it continue to work and save videos if the internet connection should go down?!

  • can i play in home assistant frontend the videos saved on the sync module?! or… have i to use home assistant functions to save images/videos when an event occours?!

  • can amazon still ban my account when using a sync module and no cloud?!

  • can i save video from a live streaming with ha commands other than capturing an image?!

I would also like the answers to the other questions you asked. I’d like to use Blink, for the theft replacement feature, but I’m just not sure it will work with the Blink integration without a Blink cloud subscription.

it seems (i couldn’t test by myself, i have still to decide what to buy) that you can save images and save the video after a movement happens… no live streaming, no access to local storage… so, as they are cheap during prime days/black friday, could be a best buy if you don’t need the live streaming
