Blue Iris/Deep Stack integration

Hi All,

I have a question that it doesn’t look like there is much information on. I have my Blue Iris Server integrated into HA already with the HACS Blue Iris NVR integration. It works great. I am able to get motion and audio detection (using MQTT) for each camera with no problem.

I also have Deep Stack set up on my Blue Iris NVR which takes motion alert jpg’s and analyzes them for objects (i.e. cars, people, etc.) I’d like to find a way to get alerts in HA when Deep Stack detects these objects on my Blue Iris NVR. As an example, if a person is detected at my front door, or a car is in my driveway. I want to use these to trigger automations. I can use the motion sensors from the Blue Iris NVR integration, but it wouldn’t be as precise.

Does anyone have this set up already and if so, how did you go about doing it?

Thanks,
Dave

You can configure the alert section in blue iris to only send the MQTT event if a person is detected.

I’ll see if I can grab a picture.

Thank you, as I dug into it deeper, I did notice that. I also ended up using a different MQTT Topic and creating Binary Sensors in HA. It is working perfectly now!

I appreciate the help.

Thanks,
Dave

hi, did you need to have a “on reset” MQTT message sent as well?

I do send “On reset” actions. My “On alert” is on and “On reset” is off.
