Hi all,
I see there is a Bluetooth component for tracking.
Can HA pair (or certainly the hardware I’m using) to another Bluetooth device and read the data from it?
Definitely would be a custom component, but wondered if it’s even possible to use a Bluetooth device at all. The devices I’m suggesting or monitors or sensors for example.

Personally no, but I did see a post of someone doing this to monitor the batteries in their fitbit / trackerbit devices.
I think they use a bluetooth adapter on their Pi and when it ‘sees’ the adapter it runs some scripts to gather the information from the device and add to HA.
I’ll see if I can find it…
