So is it no big deal if my bluetooth integration finds devices that aren’t mine? I know things like my Tile app find devices all the time that aren’t mine – I am just surprised to see it in HA’s list of devices …
Those iBeacon Trackers are just blasting Hey im here.
HA doesn’t know nor care who’s tracker it is - just that it’s there and it’s happily letting you know.
It’s not a problem per-se, but you may want to turn off automatic creation of devices under the iBeacon tracker integration if it isn’t already. Else you may end up with literally THOUSANDS of entries that say something like:
device_tracker.11a1aa11(-blah_uniqueID-)11aa
For mine I turn that switch back on when I’m actually looking for a certain beacon - and turn it back off immediately after I find it. I STILL have 2000 entities to clear out from the first time I left it on.
