I have a Shelly Bluetooth temperature (HT) sensor in each room in my house, and some of them are too far away from the primary Shelly Bluetooth Gateway (GW1), so I had to install another gateway upstairs. The devices connects fine to the 2nd gateway and I can see the device and data in the Shelly app.
BUT I does not get the data in HA. The devices (previously connected via GW1) are still visible in HA but the data is not updated.
Both gateways are powered from a small USB PSU - not the HA server itself.
Issue 1: Gateway 2 now found
In the “Bluetooth” Integration, only Gateway 1 is visible. It seems that the 2nd Gateway is not found in HA and I can’t add it (No BT devices found)
Issue 2: Devices visible but no data
The devices connected to GW2 is still visible in HA, but no data is transferred. I tried to remove one device in HA, but then I can’t add it again.
@koying
Yes - the devices are found in the BTHome integration, but the ones connected to GW2 is not updating and when I deleted one of them, I can’t add it in again.
I only have a few Shellys acting as BT Proxies and it’s been a long time since I set them up, but if I remember correctly there were like 3 different settings that had to be adjusted between on the Shelly itself (so in their app) and in HA for the device to get it to fully operate at a BT Proxy. It kind of sounds like you don’t have the one in HA set; under the settings for the device you have to enable the BT scanner option.
