Bluetooth-Proxy and BTHome queries

I had no problem setting up my two ESP32 proxies and these were immediately detected by my ESPHome integration. After successfully flashing my 7no. XIAOMI Mijia Bluetooth Thermometer / Humidity devices via Telink Flasher v4.4 these were immediately detected by my BTHome integration and are reporting data into Home Assistant as expected. However, I have the following questions:

  1. In ESPHome, do I need to ADOPT each bluetooth-proxy ? To-date I have not adopted but everything is working as expected. If I do adopt, why and are there any implications I need to be aware of ?

  2. My bluetooth-proxies are so successful that every day my BTHome integration is detecting bluetooth devices that are not mine. To the effect that currently I have more than 40 no. “IGNORED” bluetooth devices. How do I delete these rather than just IGNORE and prevent future detection ( I suspect they might be mobile phones of persons walking / driving past my house) ?

I have the same questions. I have 4 BT proxies that appear to be working fine, but all show up as "adoptable ".
I am not super savvy on this and would love some insight. I saw this question asked in some other BT proxy threads, but never answered.
Any insight is greatly appreciated.
