Bluetooth Proxy LED

Hi,

I have just deployed my first Bluetooth proxy and its been a great success to overcome my previous range issues with SwitchBot. Currently I have a temporary rig with the ESP32 connected to a power bank for testing purposes but am now comfortable to move it to its final position.

The only issue I have is the red LED that is always on. I want to have this my bedroom so need to eliminate the light pollution. I have done some googling but cannot see a way to get this LED to turn off, is there an option for this?

Thanks in advance.

Not that I know. AFAIK, that led of the generic ESP development boards is hooked directly to the power supply.

Your mileage may vary though. Keep in mind there are many different “dev kits” around, so you might find one w/o that led. The actual ESP is the chip in the middle of the board

Thanks @koying - may have to look for an alternative board… dont suppose you happen to have any suggestions?

How about to put the ESP into a case?
