There’s a huge warning that BLE tracker is not compatible with the Raspberry Pi. You should switch to a wired connection and see whether the room_presence component will fulfill your needs.
Im trying the BT not BLE, I don’t know if it’s the same or not.
What do you mean with a wired connection for the room_presence?
Connect your raspberry using a cable
And take a look at this component:
Thanks for your help but I think i don’t understand you.
I have HA installed in my RPi3, when you said to use a cable you mean for internet connection?
What I want is to Rpi detect my phone for telling that I’am at home. I don’t know how room presence can help me? The Rpi will act as a MQTT server and also to track de BT Beacons?
Room presence is alternative way to track Bluetooth devices, that works better than the BT tracker.
I’m suggesting to use cable for internet because the wifi and Bluetooth are reported to be interfering with each other. By using cable and turning off you eliminate the interference
There’s a huge warning that BLE tracker is not compatible with the Raspberry Pi.
Why? It doesn’t allow to use BT and wifi simultaneously?
As I noted above - interference. Both Wi-Fi and bluetooth share the same 2.4GHz frequency
Thanks, With internet connection works much better BT.
SO happy!! I hope BTE could be working fine soon.
