It does not work in the sense that it freezes and locks the RPi3 (or at the very least its wifi networking) and makes the RPi3 continuously lose network connectivity for extended periods of time.
Has anyone else experienced this? In addition to using the onboard Wifi and BT I have a zwave USB adapter plugged in.
Is there some way to monitor these sort of problems? Nothing shows up in the syslog. Could it be some sort of USB bus problem? Interrupts? Something else?
This could very well be a hardware flaw, as 2.4GHz wifi and bluetooth operate on similar frequencies. Interference between wifi and bluetooth is definitely not unheard of.
I have seen people suggest changing the wifi channel to reduce (or perhaps even eliminate) the interference. Or you could use an ethernet connection rather than a wifi connection.
The wifi channel is controlled by a Unifi AC Pro and there are plenty of other access points in the vicinity so it does the best job at choosing the optimum channel.
Is the bluetooth on the RaspberryPi 3 not integrated with the wifi so as to minimise interference? I thought that was a feature of these chipssets for a decade now Currently channel 6 is being utilised for what it’s worth.
