Hey guys,
So I’m wanting to use some cheap NUT Bluetooth trackers on my rubbish bins to detect whether they have been taken out or not on rubbish collection days.
I am wanting to utilise the Bluetooth Tracker component (can’t use Bluetooth LE trackers as I’m using Hassio).
My question is, is there anyway of adjusting the range telling home assistant that a Bluetooth device is “not_home”? I mean, chances are they will disconnect when the bins are on the nature strip, but I just want to be sure.
Is there another way I could be doing this? I’ve looked into Room Assistant and iBeacons, etc, but it seems way more complicated than I need it to be.
