Blurams Camera’s and Doorbell Integration

So I gave the plastic a go and it didn’t seem to work for me. Maybe it needs more layers like you said. Will keep trying as my doorbell battery ran out in 2 days otherwise… :frowning:

Just ordered my Blurams bell. Tagging a long for the ride, hope we get integration soon.

How did you get it working in the end?

I need to get something together that says once someone rings the bell that my google home speakers alert. Does anyone know how to set this up?

Also, while I am here, has anyone managed to get a secondary chime? We need one upstairs so I bought a 433mhz chime from amazon but couldnt get it to pair.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers

Phill

Anyone had any joy at all?
Tried using IFTTT to blink all my hue lights when someone rings the doorbell, but for some reason it’s not working.

Did you manage to work out IFTTT?

Anyone have any joy with HA intergration at all?

Integration???
Please Please…

Are we any closer to getting this? :frowning:

I spoke to blurams in the discord a number of times considering home assistant.

Basically due to security they don’t release the API.

So I bought a ring and I highly suggest you do the same.
All the best

Security reasons - yeah
it is less secure then P2P cameras - cloud based cams ALWAYS sends video to cloud - of course they GUARANTEE with theirs lives, wives, daughters that it is secure - yeah

It is theirs business model - buy cheaply (meh not sure ) camera, no deed for NVR or even SD card - no need to know nothing about routers, DynDNS, Firewalls - you take it from the box, connect and it works - that’s a plus - but so does Tuya cams but they are not locking access to one app. Today blurams/others cloud is - tommorow is not - and you have electronic waste.

I have Blurams security cam - basic cloud recoriding is crap - 24h - ok but 7 sec video ? it records only turtles and such - person walking quickly - activates cam - it wakes up - person disapears from view - and recording is started… so basically you have bunch of recordings with nothing - my version is few years old - so no AI frame tracking (people are inside rectangle ) - so lots of alarms like LOOK LOOK there is a shadow of leaves moving by wind … basically it is crap without paid service - I got mont free - was not impressed. so I only use it for live view in remote area.

keep away from cams witch does not clerly states that the support ONVIF and at least RTSP protocol - only then ypu can use such cams in your local NVR or HA
for HA minum is Tuya support - no NVR but at least no crappy app and HA can connect to Tuya…

cams has linux on board - I tried to look inside firmware update file - but it is encrypted with keys embeded in camera FLASH chip - so there is posipbility to hack it - but frankly - what for - camera is not great
