I have RPi3 and sensor (above) wired via I2C (GPIO) and i cannot find solution to integrate it.
I had it working under 2020 version of HA core. After i update my installation logs begun to flooding about depreciated platform.
GPIO (and I2C) support unfortunately is removed from core. You can try 3rd party addons via HACS, for example.
