Hello,
i have a boiler - for a water - its ~18A/230V - Is there a way to measure its power consumption via zigbee/zwave? Is there such a device for that?
thanks!

hello,
anyone any idea here? thanks
This might be overkill but if WiFi is acceptable this is an option. If you don’t need to switch it on/off then a toroidal magentically connected current sensor would be a much lower cost option.
@xAPPO why do u mean overkill?
i dont need to on/off
just to measure kwh, what exactly do u mean… what brand by that magnetically connected current sensor… thanks
It has more features than you need and costs more than you need to pay. It is wired inline so measures voltage and current directly so more accurate. It will report (and store history) in KWhr usage over periods so easy to read.
There are a lot (most 230v) current sensors that use toroidal current sensors, have a search and choose, Wi-Fi, ZigBee or Zwave. These report current so need integrating correctly into HA to provide Energy consumption over time. HA has inbuilt support for such but needs configuration.
got your point,
maybe if someone can recco some zigbee/zwave which is reliable?
i am googling
toroidal current sensors + zigbee
toroidal current sensors + zwave
but almost no results
what specific configuration do you mean?
thanks
Current clamps is another good search term instead of toroid

I have no ZigBee or ZWave recommendation as I don’t use either
