Adding another addon to the repo of things I didn’t see already created.
This time around we have BookLore!
The links in your GitHub page give a 404 error.
@jackjourneyman thanks for the heads up. I had a typo in the folder name for the link. All fixed now and confirmed working.
Will Booklore be updated when I use this addon?
The current addon version is using booklore version 1.8.1. I can push an update later today to bring the addon to the latest booklore version out, 1.10.0. This will not make any changes to booklore running outside of this addon itself.
Updated to 1.10.0 now.
Can you give me some more detailed instructions on how to configure Mariadb so that the Booklore plugin works? I have installed Mariadb and your add-on, but the add-on won’t start.
Can you explain in detail what to do here “Under the Network section you will need to add port 3306 so BookLore can connect to MariaDB.”
I think (hope) that my other configuration is correct.
you will want to make sure you have booklore added to the databases section, just enter booklore in the databases dropdown and hit enter.
In the logins section add the username booklore and set your password.
In the Right section you want to include the database booklore and the username booklore but leave the privileges empty:
Then in the network section make sure you have port 3306 enabled. you may need to use the switch to show unused settings.
Ensure you use the save option in after adding the database, login, and rights. this will then require a restart of maria BD. you will also need to use the save option in the network section as well and that will also require a restart of mariaDB.
Once both are done you will need to ensure you have the same password in the booklore addon that you set in the mariadb addon for the booklore user and the addon should start.
