Bridge or Connect an existing Z-Wave.ME Server to HA

Hey there,

i’m already using a really good z-wave setup on a 2nd raspberry.
Weeks before i was used to connect them via homebridge to homekit, after struggyling with some other problems i changed my main system to home assistant.

My big question, is there any option to have this already perfect z-wave network bridged or connected to my HA?!
I mean without changing the setup?!

Raspberry 1 -> Home Assistant with Zigbee etc.
<< bridge >>
Raspberry 2 -> Z-Wave. ME Server

Thanks for help :slight_smile:

No one an idea?
I mean a hue bridge is as well a standalone “server” which is possible to connect to HA.
Isn’t it easy to do the same thing with a z-wave server?!

:orangutan::woozy_face:

Research MQTT. Host a broker on a system and use the broker to communicate from your network to HA. Also, if this is a Z-stick, you can always just move the zstick over and configure it in HA. The zstick won’t lose what has already been included on it.

hmmmm the mqtt thing sounds good, going on to research for some more info…

bad thing i didn’t use a stick :frowning:
i have this razberry thing stacked on my pi and i guess this isn’t the best solution for HA

Yah, then just go the MQTT route. Probably would be the easiest solution with your setup.
