Brightness in awtrix Ulanzi

Hello,

I just reinstalled my awtrix/Ulanzi clock after some trouble with it.
It seems to be working fine now.

I have read a lot of topics and viewed a lot of videos, but what i don’t understand is: how can I adjust the brightness of the display? Which command do I need?

In the MQTT-configuration I am testing with this:

{
    "text": "Hallo",
    "ABRI":false,
    "brightness":10,
    "color":"#FF00FF"
}

And I see the word Hallo, in a nice purple color.

awtrix(1)

But the brightness doesn’t work. What am I doing wrong?

I hope someone can help me?
Regards, Peter

You have a value of 10, that means that the brightness is only set to 10%, you will need to increase the value to see if it updates properly.

There is no difference in brightness if I set it to 1, or 10 or 99.

The display stays very bright. When I go to the settings in the Ulanzi , to check for auto-brightness, it is is turned off, and it says the brightness is set to 47.

But sending a command to show the text in dimmed mode (i.e. brightness = 10) doesn’t work. There must be something wrong in the code.

You may want to look into firmware updates then like say this one and then try linking it to HA via MQTT:
