Brilagi ceiling fan - integrated light in Home Assistant

Hello,

I recently purchased a Brilagi ceiling fan with integrated light that is being controlled via a remote control and i would like to integrate it in Home Assistant. I cannot for the life of me find what technology the remote control is using. I was expecting that it would be IR but i cannot see any IR LED on the remote control.

In the instructions, it is mentioned just “Remote Control” but it doesn’t state if it is RF or IR. To pair the remote, you need to hold a button called “Pair Code” for 5 seconds until the light starts to blink.

Here is the product details Brilagi - LED Dimmable light with a fan AURA LED/38W/230V silver + RC | Lamps4sale

Does anyone have experience with such products? Should i buy an RF Bridge or build an IR remote with ESPHome?

If further details are required please feel free to ask.

Thank you very much in advance

Probably rf 433Mhz?

But do you have pictures of the inside of the fan?

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, i didn’t shoot any pictures before installing them.
One more clue i can give is that the remote has quite a large range. I can control the fan and light from a different room and the signal goes also through walls.

I am thinking to get the Sonoff RF Bridge R2 for this reason. I have installed 3 of these fans, i need to check how it gets added to eWeLink app and then if there is a HA integration for eWeLink.

Thanks

On second thought, i realized that a solution of having an RF Bridge sending commands to the ceiling fans might not be the best because, it won’t report the status back to Home Assistant. So if the fan is running and someone turns it off via the remote, HA will think that it’s still running.

I think the best solution is to replace the entire controller with this: IFAN04-L - SONOFF Official

Was going to recommend that… but you didn’t get any pictures haha. so NO clue if it wil work for you or if you need a different solution!

Time to remove one
