I have a broadlink pro and I have it properly configured with HA. I can send and learn codes from it but I want to use my ir remote to control functions and scenes within HA. Is this possible or am I only able to send functions to the broadlink pro? So far it seems like it’s only a one way functionality.

Had the same idea, but the Broadlink can only send IR signals.
I bought a Wemos D1 mini and the IR Controller shield, and with the famous ESPHome Remote Receiver i now have 20 binary_sensors to play with.
Best results with an universal remote and a panasonic code.
