Broadlink codes lost (NOOB)

Morning All,

I have spent hours setting up all my remotes through the Broadlink integration and setting up remote buttons, however, when I performed a HA restart, All codes became “corrupt” and I lost the lot.

I re entered them all again and this time saved the file to my PC in case this happened again, and sure enough…gone :frowning:
I have tried to upload the file direct to HA, but this has not worked.

Has anyone else experienced this, and how can I stop this from happening aghain?

Could you give us a bit more detail?

  • How exactly did you set up your remotes?
  • What was the error message?
  • Which file did you save to your PC?
  • Where did you upload it to in HA?

I’ll get some screen grabs up this evening

How did you install HA ?

Ha os via pihut onto usb ssd.

OK, HA OS, should be fine.

After running a remote.learn comand service, this is where the code is located.

Just wondering, which devices do you want to add?
You might want to check out SmartIR
It will add all required devices to your config without learning anything (provided it is supported already. If not, you could add it yourself and create a merge request, so others can use it too )

here is an overview of the supported media players.
It can also do AC’s and fans

I have / Had all my remotes working perfectly before, when I did the ha restart, the file was still there, but I get an error message…

OK, quick update, I have just loaded some remotes commands, done a restart to get the error message again, but it’s working this time…
I’m now more lost than before.
