Thought I’d share some information that took me HOURS to discover.
My Broadlink RF device, using every means possible, would not communicate with anything when I attempted to add it to the our WiFi network. The router shows it has successfully connected an has a DHCP IP address that is PINGABLE but the broadlink app, iOS nor Android (and the Broadlink manager) would not show it as a device.
After a lot of frustration I finally figured out that there was a blank space in the WiFi passphrase and it is considered a “special character” by the broadlink device. So I created another SSID that had a password without a black space and now everything works fine.
