I have been able to achieve stateful RF integrations with my Sonoff RF bridge as it is able to send RF commands, and also listen for those same RF commands when the RFremote is used. It means HA knows the state of the device whether the remote, or HA is used to control it.
I would like to achieve the same with IR, however from what I can tell, the Broadlink Mini 3 is unable to listen for IR transmits and in turn receive these and pass them back through to HA to maintain the state.
Has anyone been able to achieve a stateful IR implementation through send/receive IR logic?
I’m open to other options also. The devices in question are a TV and a receiver that don’t have seperate on/off IR commands.
