Broadlink Manager - Nicer way to Learn and Send IR/RF commands

Hi Groto,
Thanls for that.
Can you create a PR so i can marge it and update the original repo. this way i can update the container so everyone that already use it will get the update?

Hi All,
Thanks to @Groto the Broadlink Manager is now supporting RM4 Pro device.
All you need to do is to pull the latest version.

The arm version is not yet update,
Will update it later on today.

Looks like you beat me to it. Thanks for the update!

where can I find the latest version? the latest one I see is v1.0.0.1 which doesnā€™t recognize RM4 as supported device. TY

Hi, I just downloaded 1.0.0.1 and it is not recognizing RM4 Proā€¦ Any suggestions?

ā€œWriting compatible device not detected!ā€

keeping forcing it until it worksā€¦ broadlink manager is unstable, sometimes it doesnā€™t find my devices, sometimes it finds only one, sometimes it finds but it says its not supported, anyways, b.m. sucks!

I have a RM4 Pro 0x649b. Is this still not compatible or is there something wrong with my setup? I have tried using the docker and windows version and still no luck. Any help appreciated! The docker version says ā€˜Not Supportedā€™ and the windows app says ā€˜unknownā€™

Hi, I just tested the docker version, and it looks very good. I saw @Tomer_Klein added the code generator for Type D Sockets. Does anyone know of a generator for Type A sockets (10 DIP switches)?
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
BroadlinkManager Docker is now available for arm based devices.
Just use the ā€œlatestā€ tag, and thatā€™s it.

I would love to see this as an addon that we could run directly from our home assistant instance.

Is there a fix for 0x649b devices yet? I just installed the latest docker image - works on my RM3 mini but not my RM4 Pro.

Hi,

iā€™ve installed to docker
docker run -d --name=broadlinkmanager --net=host techblog/broadlinkmanager:latest

But it doesnā€™t find my RM4 Pro 0x653c
Is it supposed to work?

Hey, thanks for the cool programm!
I just got my RM4 Pro (0x649b) and it says itā€™s unsupported. Iā€™m using the manager through docker on a RPi 4.
Any workarounds or planned fixes?

Best regards!

Not trying to hi-jack this great threadā€¦
You can use lirc like commands to send individual hex codes with irDroid.

Do you plan on adding support for the RM4 TV mate? I tried adding it via the broadlink integration and got a ā€œdevice not supported errorā€. For reference, the device id is ā€œ0x5209ā€

0x653a: (rm4, ā€œRM4 miniā€, ā€œBroadlinkā€)
Just make sure to pull the latest version.

Hi @2006yamahar6,
Iā€™ll check it and if it possible Iā€™ll add the support for this device.

@Tomer_Klein Can you please add RM4mini 0x648d? Thx

Hi folks,

Is there any way around sending rolling codes ? I am trying to automate RF433 roller shutters, and they have wireless RF433 controllers.

There is no wired switch to 'hack" into, as such. I tried to learn and send codes using Broadlink RM4 Pro, and found out the remotes send rolling codes.

Is there a solution for such situations ?
Cheers.

I doubt rolling codes are supported by broadlink, they generally arenā€™t because securityā€¦

You could source a 2nd remote and hard-wire a relay across the switch button.
