Hey guys,
I’m using the Broalink RM mini as a central ir remote for some devices (AMP, TV, AC, and a TV decoder).
I’m having this weird bug with controls sent to the TV and the amp : after sending the on command, these guys turn on fine.
But then, say I send a volume up command to the AMP just after having it turned on, it’s not picking up this next vol+ control.
After a while though (not sure how much time, but I’ll say at least a whole minute), sending the vol+ command again will just work fine. And then I can send any other command, the device will pick up all of them instantly. No weird latency then.
(obviously, this vol+ command is just an example. I have the same behaviour with any other command such as changing source, turning it off again…)
This is not an HA issue : I can clearly see the RM mini small led turning on each time I send a command.
I tried with the native econtrol app and I have the same strange behaviour.
Also if I just turned the amp on and then I send another command, while aiming directly at the amp with the rm mini ( I mean rm mini up face aiming at the AMP ir receiver), it works fine. No need to wait!
I don’t really get it, why would the TV and the amp not picking up these “next” signals and needing to wait a little bit.
It’s obviously an hardware issue. But why? Old ir receivers?
The TV decoder is ok : I can turn it on and then send other commands without having to wait for a while, or physically “aiming” at it with the rm mini…
Do you guys also face this kind of issue with some of your hardware ?
Graou.
