I have two Broadlink RM devices in my livingroom, after we got a new receiver from spectrum the broadlink device that I have set to control the receiver no longer works. The other devices it controls works without issue. It sends the signal, so I know that the broadlink is getting the commands from home assistant. Has anyone else run into the same issue? The receiver is a cisco 8742hdc.
Perhaps your Broadlink needs to learn new codes for the new receiver?
I went through yesterday and replaced the old codes through my configuration file and it still didnt work. I used the remote the spectrum technician left to learn the codes and i also used an ir blaster app on an older smartphone. Both the spectrum remote and the ir app control the reciever without issue, but when i add the codes through homeassistant to send my broadlink, it lights up to send the code to the box, but nothing happens.
I might just load up a fresh install and re add the codes and see if that makes a difference. Just wierd that all the rest of my devices have no issue, just the spectrum reciever.
