I am new to HA
I have successfully integrated my Broadlink RM Pro as a switch to HA for Power ON/OFF & TV Mute
It works great
The Problem:
I observe that there is no sync between the switch status in HA UI & the real physical status of TV.
Example:
I might have switched ON the TV using the Physical remote.
later Turn OFF the TV using HA UI. Though the TV is OFF physically the HA UI shows TV Switch as ON only.
The switch Status doesn’t sync with real status of the TV, which is not the case with my other MQTT switches.
For other MQTT switches, If I ON or OFF using the Physical button or HA UI or automation. The status of the switch is in sync with real status of the light
Am I missing something w,r,t Broadlink rm pro code? or Since its a combination of IR & wifi, it can works only that way hence we have to live with it??
Don’t think it does?? The e-Control app is what I use and that doesn’t show status. Not sure if the IHC app does but it would only be an assumed state same as home assistant, as the broadlink only listens for rf when it’s in programming mode.
If you are saying that if the device is switched by other than HA and the state isn’t reflected in the frontend then that is the expected way it operates. Since the device doesn’t send a status signal there’s no way for HA to know that it was switched from somewhere else.
If you are saying that if you click the switch button in HA and the device switches but the status in HA doesn’t change then that is a problem.
