Broadlink RM3 Mini - Did I miss a breaking change?

In the past few days my Broadlink RM3 Minis stopped working. Did I miss a breaking change?

Broadlink

Mini is still working with all the latest updates.

Check to see if you’ve got a new entity called broadlink.familyroom.remote_2

Good guess. I still don’t grok the _2 mess- I can’t think of a valid reason for them.
But, that’s not the issue here.

When both Broadlinks went “Unavailable” at the same time, I was looking for an issue that would affect both of them. Since everything else on my network was working fine, I skipped step 1: Reboot the device.

Working now.

It’s usually when the system thinks the ID exists and there’s no unique ID specified. The Amcrest integration often does this to me: If it times out on startup, it will create an _2 entity. Unfortunately, in such cases the integration devs need to fix it by providing a unique ID.

Or warn that the ID already exists. (Microsoft did something right).
