I works nice when I switch between views, but when I open a new dashboard the default view is empty. Can I change the default view url for the dashboard to?
I’m not sure that I understand your question, but if you had the hash in your navigation path it should open the corresponding pop-up in all cases.

You’re welcome!
When I switch from one dashboard (without bubblecard) to another (with bubblecard) the bubblecard defined in the views url isn’t shown, selecting the same dashboard for the 2nd time, makes the bubblecard pop-up.
Switching between views within the bubblecard dashboard works as expected, the bubblecard defined in the view settings pops-up as requested, only selecting the same view again hides the popup. That behavior isn’t annoying but unexpected. May be it gives an indication of what is going wrong?
Hi,
really like this card so far, just a few questions.
I’m trying to make this card work with the ios-themes
So i would like to be able to adjust the color for the 2 items with the red arrow.
If i use the bubble theme they change when i change the background-color in the bubble.yaml file. But i can’t figure out how to make them change color using the ios-themes. Also want to be able to change the opacity of them.
The X on the right does adjust when i change the background-color and opacity, the other 2 don’t react to the opacity setting
Any help would be greatly appreciated
I went with the HACS install and everything seems to have gone okay. However, I’m not seeing the Bubble Cars show up on the Add Card dialog.
I did a full reboot of the HA (on VM) and cleared browser cache.
I tried adding the repository again and it says that it’s already in the store.
Really love this design, hope to see more card types getting implemented. Since there are not as much card types currently, does anyone have recommendations for other lovelace cards that complement this?
The war against bugs and instability continues
v1.6.3
Hi everyone! I’m back with a fast release that brings you some new features and bug fixes. Cheers
New features
- Close pop-up on click or tap: You can now choose to close them automatically after any interaction. Just use the new toggle in the pop-up editor to try that. The default value is
close_on_click: false
. Thanks for the idea @PineappleEmperor! - Column fix: This feature is for those who have experienced some issues with the dashboard layout, such as empty columns or misaligned cards. You can apply a fix that restores the behavior of the previous versions by adding
column_fix: true
in YAML to the first Bubble Card on your dashboard. Then refresh the page.
Bug fixes and optimizations
- Pop-up issues: I have also fixed a lot of bugs related to the pop-ups. They should work flawlessly now.
- Reload loop issue: There is no more reload at all now.
- Column fix: More info in the new features section.
I wonder if that’s my issue from above? I’m not seeing the card from the dashboard’s edit page.
No it was not related to your issue. Have you correctly followed the installation instructions? You seems to be the first to have this issue.
The war against bugs and instability continues
v1.6.4
Hi! Here’s a new release that brings you nothing but bug fixes and optimizations, staying true to our ongoing theme. But seriously, I really believe that this build is at a totally new level of stability. Let’s raise a toast to continuous improvement!
Bug Fixes and Optimizations
- Custom buttons: They were not working at all anymore, this is now fixed!
- Pop-up trigger: This was not working for some users, everything is working as expected now.
- Clicking outside a pop-up to close it: This feature was accidentally removed, this is fixed now.
- Sliding inside a pop-up to close it: This feature was accidentally removed too! Maybe a new feature for some users, this is not documented
- Pop-up editor: The pop-ups are correctly positioned in the editor now.
- Pop-up fixes: I’ve found and fixed some more issues related to the the pop-ups, they should be totally reliable now!
Hi @Cloos,
Not sure if this has already been asked and replied to so apology if you’ve already had this question.
Is it possible to animate the nav bar icons? I have a vehicle status page in a bubble popup that shows the remaining charge on the vehicle, along with the charging status etc.
Ideally, I would like the charging nav icon to use the ping animation when the vehicle is charging so I can see at a glance when and if it’s charging, similar to what you can do with Mushroom.
Is this supported? If so, any guidance on how this can be achieved with the horizontal button stack.
Thanks
similar previous ask…
But I imagine @Cloos is up to his eyeballs in development tasks. I bet he will eventually get to this
I checked over several times and it seemed like I had. I didn’t put too much more effort into that since I’m using a temp VM and getting a Green. I figured I’d try again on that.
Solved. button_type: custom
was missing.
Hi, I am trying to use a Bubble Card button to call a service. And I cannot get it to work. It’s doing just nothing.
- type: custom:bubble-card
card_type: button
# next line was missing:
button_type: custom
tap_action:
action: call-service
service: select.select_option
target:
entity_id: select.harmonyhub_activities
data:
option: power_off
entity: select.harmonyhub_activities
name: Off
icon: mdi:music-off
Any idea? Thank you.
How do you hide the bubble bottom row buttons? Trying to use custom buttons to trigger the bubble pop up, but for minimalistic look, I want to hide the bubble bottom row buttons. Nearly there, but still got a white border?
Just remove that card.
The horizontal-buttons-stack card is not needed if you are using your own buttons.
type: custom:bubble-card
card_type: horizontal-buttons-stack
