Hi All,
I’d post the same topic over at EMS, yet I assume perhaps it’s more relevant here somehow. Let’s jumpstart with the setup:
- Buderus Logatherm WLW196i AR + HMC 310 (EMS PLUS) - set for underfloor heating;
- EMS-EPS connected to the (BBQkees Gateway 3);
- Logalux Boiler SH290 (assume this is controlled via the WLW196i);
- Google Nest 2020 (USA type) thermostat powered using (doorbel) transformer 24vac (one in each zone);
- 240v Danfloss NO vales connected to Atom a Tasmota relay board;
Each of these items are properly setup within my HomeAssistant green. Yet from here it gets a bit complicated. My Buderus heater has only the onboard HMC 310 thermostat build onto the chassis - which is installed in the small technical room. So in other words I have no thermostat in the living room which sets / kicks in the required underfloor heating levels based on the desired room temperature - which implies the room temperature is not regulated correctly.
So my question is, how do I integrate these components the best way? My assumptions here are:
- I could open / close the vales for each zone based on the heating status of the Nest Thermostats. - to the temperature gets regulated.
2.a.1) Either override via a HomeAssistant automation the room temperature sensor of the buderus EMS-ESP32 based on the main living area;
2.a.2) OR average temperature of all active zones;
2b) Or set the flow temperature on basis upon the underfloor heating area’s where designed (not sure if this is correct as this doesn’t consider the outside temp);
2c) Or seen I have thermostat wire (2 core cable) per underfloor heating box running to my Buderus setting the heating somehow but I’m not sure if this is on/off or the NEST thermostat needs to be the brains here.
Anyhow, your advice here is highly appreciated or perhaps someone has a similar setup done already which I didn’t find yet.
