Hi,
I am getting exaclty the same problem. I ordered a fresh raspi 5 from kiwi, with nvme ssd. My setup is I have SD card with the raspi os, and nvme with HA. I change boot order so boot order is NVME first. And in fact this is second raspi 5 has this problem with NVME. I am using Argon NEO 5 NVMW case, with RASPI 5, 240 GB NVE SSD. My RASP OS is installed on 16GB SD card. My boot order is set to boot from NVME first.

If anyone can suggest what could be the issue ?

Regards,

manu

Just switched my Home Assistant from Hyper V on my laptop to Home Assistant OS a Raspberry Pi 5 in a Geekworm PoE and NVME case kit, and been experiencing very similar.

Oddly I never had this issue running Home Assistant OS in Proxmox on a Raspberry Pi 4 booting off the same NVME in a USB C enclosure.

1 TB NVME. How would I go about diagnosing this?

Same problem here !
Rpi 5 - 4gb
SSD board - ZDE ZP511
SSD Wds480g2g0c

I could install Raspberry Pi OS and use it with no problems !
