i use philips hue bulbs, but on/off happens via motion sensor…
is it possible to say that frequent on/off can radically reduce bulbs life-span?

Heat is the main killer of leds. Most manufacturers will recommend only using the leds at 80% brightness for just this reason.
On/off cycles should have no ill effects whatsoever!

On/off can affect the other electronic components badly, but a smart bulb is hardly ever really off, it is just dimmed to 0 brightness.
