Busch Jaeger inet radio inet 8216

Hi All,

I have a Busch-Jaeger inet radio(wifi based) which is a great way to have music in the bathroom . Busch-jaeger has created an app for the radio, but it would be great if there is a home assistant integration as well.

I checked the internet and noticed that there is iobroker Javascript integration, maybe that could help creating a HA integration?
Unfortunately, I have no coding background but am obviously more than willing to support and test.

I am totally with you. Maybe you could drop your request in the GITHUB community as well. Cheers!

Hi, the iNet radio shows up in HA as a DLNA Digital Media Render, unfortunately there seems to be some sort miscommunication when connecting to the render. Does anyone have some expertise on how to diagnose and fix this error. I have read a bit about fooling the header so “simple” devices can connect. Using the BubbleUPnP App on my phone I can connect to the iNetRadio.

Thanks

Looking at the product description it says something about integrated webserver for management and control, so maybe the REST integration can already solve this issue.

Thank you, would you like to describe the procedure to do so in more detail, or maybe provide some reference (links?) . ThanX in advance!

REST is a protocol based on HTTP communication and that is what a webserver also use, so if you can find where a sensors value is, then HA can be set up to pull that sensor.
Likewise with commands on the webserver, where they can be integrated as service calls in HA.

Hi there, obviously you unburied that thread. Thank you for that

Unfortunately I disconnected my “radio” and before starting all over again, I’d kindly like to ask you, whether you have found a way to solve the issue…

Regards and ThanX in advance!

Any news to that topic? I have no idea how to use the RESTful Sensor. Does anyone have a solution and could give me the code?
